From "Woman In Yesod" Series, Valerie Caris-Blitz

This is a painting by Eric’s first wife, Valerie Caris-Blitz. Valerie entered the City Of The Pyramids on July 28th, 2009 at  12:26 PM, after succumbing to HIV related complications.

Her last decade was spent returning to painting, activism, and her esoteric work. These are paintings she wanted seen that never got a full viewing in her lifetime, shy of a retrospective at ABC No Rio in 2010. Valerie also did performance, film, and works in fabric, but regarded painting as her first and foremost medium, having been a student of Milton Resnick.
