I woke up in the middle of the night determined to capture something of the personality of our kitten Fanta in my sketchbook.
She’d be a dorky yet rambunctious little schoolkid. In reality Fanta has a front left leg which turns inward (which fits her right in with our family! 🙂 ) but since she’s walking upright here I drew it as a turned in hind leg.
As I may have mentioned before, our building, which some otherwise non-religious types have come to speculate is “possessed”, houses any number of mentally unbalanced people who are unable to be asleep at what is poetically called “Devil’s Hour”, “Witching Hour”, “Hour of the Wolf”, what have you. Mentally unbalanced people of which I’m well aware I number among.
“The Hour of the Wolf” is the hour between night and dawn. It is the hour when most people die. It is the hour when the sleepless are haunted by their deepest fear, when ghosts and demons are most powerful. – Tagline from Ingmar Bergman’s “Hour Of The Wolf”
Sounds like a perfect time for kitten drawings, given that my sunlight hours are often spent attempting to channel rage like a deft solar flare.
